J.R. Broadwater (Randy to his friends and family) is a licensed youth pastor who’s had a vast number of rather interesting life experiences that’s helped to define him not only as an individual, but as a writer. Experiences such as being a volunteer chaplain for a prison; an on-site manager for a transitional living facility that helped homeless families find work and a safe place to live; and being the only middle classed white guy working at an African American church in the inner city of Chattanooga, TN. His passion for writing and telling great stories is only matched by his love for all things nerdy. Movies, books, comics, and video games- Randy devours it all like a buffet at a cake factory. Mark Ruelius was my best friend and co-writer for over ten years. He passed away on January 7, 2010 due to complications with diabetes. Though he is no longer with us physically, he will live on in the hearts and minds of those that knew him and in the various worlds and characters that he has helped to create.
